As the Manager of Master Data, you will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to understand current and future data domains, then establish strategy, governance, processes, and policy to drive efficient and consistent master data. Working in a collaborative organization, you will serve as the bridge between business data usage and technical data governance.
Responsibilities
- Formally define current and future master data domains
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and business owners of each data domain.
- Identify, develop, and collaborate with data stewards for each domain, serving as de facto steward when needed.
- Develop documentation and training on data domains that can be consumed by both business and IT stakeholders.
- Evaluate the master data implications of business projects and technology initiatives.
- Assist with data classification efforts, especially around sensitive data.
- Develop data auditing techniques track data usage, enrichment, and quality.
- Identify and recommend process improvements, technology upgrades, and emerging industry patterns to improve data quality, operational efficiency, and business innovation.
- Complete other projects and tasks as assigned.

Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of data management or data governance experience in a similarly complex organization.
- 3+ years of project management, program management, or people management.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with both business and IT stakeholders.
- Extensive knowledge of master data management concepts, principles, and best practices.
- Solid understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and data security principles.
- Strong knowledge of business processes, accounting practices, and financial systems.
- Proficiency in data management tools and technologies (i.e. data catalog, metadata management, data lineage).
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to information protection and data privacy.
